It is the largest hydroelectric power station in the world and the largest dam ever built in China and the world. It enjoys a worldwide reputation. Therefore, Yichang has been called "the hydropower capital of the world".

The Three Gorges Dam is located in Yichang City, Hubei Province, China, 38 kilometers from the downstream Gezhouba Water Control Project, and is the main project of the Three Gorges Hydropower Station, the core landscape of the Three Gorges Dam tourist area and the east end of the Three Gorges Reservoir.

The Three Gorges consists of Qutang Gorge, Wuxia Gorge and Xiling Gorge. Three Gorges Hydropower Station, also known as the Three Gorges Project, Three Gorges Dam. Located in China's Chongqing City to Yichang City, Hubei Province between the Yangtze River. The dam is located in Sandouping, not far from the upper reaches of Yichang City, and constitutes a cascade hydropower station with the Gezhouba hydropower station downstream. It is the world's largest hydroelectric power station and the largest engineering project ever built in China.

Of the three attractions, only the Memorial Garden for River Closure is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, which is downstream of the dam, where you can look up at the tall Three Gorges Dam. There is an exhibition room in the Closure Memorial Garden. You can learn about the Three Gorges Project through the pictures and documents in the exhibition room.

In the park you can also see the rockery scenery composed of three-dimensional triangular intercepting stones, as well as large construction machinery and other physical exhibitions. The downstream location of the dam makes it a perfect place for panoramic views of the Three Gorges Dam, where visitors like to take pictures with the dam in the background.

Each of the three attractions has its own characteristics: at Tanziling you are looking down at the dam; at 185 platforms you are looking up at the dam; and at the river closure memorial on the south bank you are looking up at the dam.
